Strange spotting

im 14 weeks tomorrow and a week ago today i had "spotting" that lasted maybe a half hour..definitely wasn't long anyways and only appeared when i wiped myself. Called the dr and they didnt seem too concerned..it wasn't red more brownish and didnt really have any cramps.. 

Today i have the same thing happen same thing happen only this time its bright red and i bled enough to change the colour in the toilet...oddly i stopped bleeding after i finished wiping myself...again no cramps but im so confused..anyone experience something similar? the only things ive read involve the girls actually bleeding for a day or two and i really am not full out bleeding..ive worn a pad each time to monitor the situation but its only appeared when i wipe myself..

i see my doc in two days but want a little more peace of mind..

And have you had sex recently, or have you been straining to go to the bathroom?  That can do it.

I absolutely will be calling when they open tomorrow..and i see them Tuesday..just know they'll prob say the same thing they did last week..just hoping theres someone out there i can relate to..cant seem to find any similar stories..

Not sure ive been straining to go to the bathroom...just getting over a stomach flu tho..feeling excellent today now that my bowels have calmed down...

and no sex in the past 48 hrs lol

Just used the washroom and there some brown stuff when i wipe lol...man wish there was an answer for this..hope tuesdays ultrasound will provide some relief!

Not sure if this is the same thing but a good friend of mine had a wicked stomach flu when she was about 15/16 weeks and also ended in spotting for a few days. Her doc told her it was from the vomiting. Just wanted to put that out there. GL with your appt!

Hmm could have something to do with the flu however i was lucky enough to avoid vomiting it was the bowels that were effected! :P im about to call my Doc to see what they say this time!

I'm 19w now but this same thing happened to me at 11w.  When it happened to me I felt just like you - I wanted to hear a postive outcome from a similar situtaion.  I bled earlier than you but hopefully I can make you feel a little better!

I had red blood 11w0d when I wiped and sometimes in the toliet.  This happened for about half a day.  I called my doc and got in the following day mid-morning.  All was well!

By day two the color had moved to really dark brown and for the next few days it was lighter brown.  When you go Red to Brown it usually means you are winding down. 

I was really upset when it happened but nothing was wrong with the baby.  They found the HB right away and then I had an ultrasound and nothing was wrong.  I'm sure yours is the same!  It was frustrating that they never could figure out exactly what happened.  I hadn't had sex either. 

My guess is yours has to do with your flu - for sure.  I wouldn't be too worried but I know it easier said than done.

just got back from emerg and all is well BIG RELIEF! lol no explanation for what happened but could be stress, could be anything...all i know is all the tests came back great and the baby was moving like crazy when i saw it!! definitely glad i went!! will definitely sleep better tonight!!

Thanks for updating!  I figured you'd have this outcome but I'm happy to know you are no longer worried.  As much as you try to tell yourself everything is fine it's really tough.  So glad you put this behind you!
