wrapping a "standing" baby?

We are going to Vegas in a week, bringing the girls, so I hope to be able to tie DD2 on and go site seeing (not through the smoking/gambling areas, I have a convention).  I loved to wear DD1, but DD2 isn't quite as happy, the problem is that she makes herself straight as a board - if you put her on the ground she is standing, you can hold her at the hips and she is happy as a clam.  I obviously want her worn in a "sitting" position as opposed to the "hanging" position this lends itself to.... any recommendations?  When we go to the grocery store (we never really go anywhere else) I always wear her and am very conscious of pulling her knees up be it in a makeshift moby or a k'tan...  I may cave and pull out the mai tai I made, she has to sit in that but it provides much less nursing coverage, or the ergo which DH would wear.  Any advice is appreciated!  I have a ring sling but it tends to bother my shoulder but I may bring that for the airport if I don't cave to the structured carrier since it is so pop-able.  I also have a Vat but don't think that would help this problem (?).
