  • I don't think so. I've wondered, but nothing definitive since it's still early.

  • I'm 20 weeks tomorrow and I've felt movement for about a week now. All the movements are tiny and no regular movement or big kicks yet. My OB said not to expect regular movement until 24wks.

  • I felt a popcorn/bubble wrap feeling in 17w that happened a few times a day. Now he's throwing elbows and kicking half of the time.

Its going to depend on where your placenta is. If its in front (anterior) you'll feel kicks later than those of us with a posterior (back) placenta.

  • I never felt the "flutters" and started to feel strong movements around 20 weeks. Each week they have become stronger. I know everyone is different and it could depend on the position of your placenta and your weight before pregnancy.

  • Don't worry I didn't feel movement until 21 weeks.  Do you know the position of your placenta?  Mine is in front of the baby so he has to get pretty strong before I feel strong kicks.

This for me too! Never felt the 'flutters'. I could feel the baby move around 19w 4d and i can see my belly move now at 20w 4d. Baby is kicking everyday... every 3 hours or so. It's incredible! You'll know when it happens!

  • I felt tiny things very, VERY rarely since 15 weeks -- like someone was flicking me from the inside once or twice...they were super faint and very sporadic.  I wasn't sure then what it was; I thought it was probably gas and it was only happening once or twice a week.  It got more regular around 19 weeks, but not kicks, more like I could feel when she moved from one side to the other or turned around, occasionally the flick feeling.  Now, I feel tons of movement.  The other night there was  a movement so abrupt and significant that my hand jumped up with my belly.

I know how much we want to feel the movement and have that reassurance.  It will happen!!! but being patient is hard!

  • I thought I was feeling something at 17/18 weeks but I know for sure I felt something at 19 weeks.  Since I know I felt a kick (I was laying on my stomach and baby wanted more room I think...) I have been feeling baby a lot more
