Does anyone have issues with this? What does the milk smell like when it has high lipase? This is going to sound strange, but I have noticed lately, especially with my thawed breast milk, that it smells very similar to my child's poop. Like the distinct breastmilk poop. The way it smelled when he was only on breastmilk. Its not stinky, its like this kind of playdough like smell. I don't know if all breastfed babies poop smells this way, but his does and now his milk is starting to smell that way. I am wondering if its lipase. I've been throwing it out because I don't want to feed my baby milk that literally smells like poop, lol! Its with my thawed milk, and also milk that has only been in the fridge for a couple days. I don't know why my milk would start going bad so fast all of the sudden. Why does it smell like this? I EP, so throwing out milk is quickly depleting my stash.

Re: Lipase Question
Yes, that's right. All breastmilk has some lipase. You'd never even know you had an excess problem if you didn't have to pump. (not you specifically, just women in general)
