Pockets

I am trying very hard to talk myself into CDing and I think the pockets sound the best to me. Here's my question: There are several brands and you can buy extra inserts separately, I believe. Correct me if I am being an idiot! Anyway, do the inserts have to be teh same brand/model of diaper? Or can one mix and match.

I'm worried I will end up with a couple of different brands and then forget (or MH will forget) which goes with which.

Any insert will work with any diaper it fits in. It doesn't really matter. Pockets have worked well for me.

I LOVE our pocket diapers.  We use them almost exclusively.  We have about 4 or 5 different brands.  In the beginning, I was religious about matching the inserts with the correct diaper.  As time went on they got mixed up, and guess what? - they still work just as well. Don't stress over it. : )

Yep they all will work with eachother, and if you find some sold without any inserts that would be great, because then you can buy some like hemp, that absorb more than the standard microfiber ones. 

Also now they are making some pocket/AIO and pocket/AI2, which are very nice options as well.  Like the Softbums Echo, it uses snap in inserts but also as a pocket if you run out of clean inserts or just would rather use it as a pocket diaper.
