I am looking at video monitors. Had anyone gotten the Babies R Us BabySite Digital Handheld Color Video Monitor? I have looked at the reviews and they are all over the place.
i would reco one that has a the option of being shown on your computer/iphone if you have one. we bought a video survellince type camera (not an acutal monitor) so we can use our phone etc. to watch - even if we are outside etc. loved it!
I have done a lot of research on monitors. We aren't going for one that can be used with a computer/smart phone but if you are looking for positive reviews - the Motorola Digital Baby Monitor has the best reviews out of all of the ones on Amazon. There are 3 sizes so you can spend $80-$230. Hope that helps!

My cousin recommends the monitor with the heart-monitor pad (that beeps when they come off the pad or it stops sensing breathing) Her baby had reflux and choked often, so it helped reassure her. Also when he was in his toddler bed, she said she would still use it to let her know when he got up in the morning if it was really early.

Re: monitor ?
I just came across this news article for those considering video monitors. Especially important if someone nearby has video monitors as well.
