I swear everyone I know either just had kid added to their family or is expecting one. Personally, I my period came a fantastic 12 days early last month screwing up my meds, and so far this month I spotted yesterday, but nothing since. I just want it show up so I start my clomid for the month, which I'm pretty positive won't work, and we can move onto the next step.
The icing on the cake has to be my friends 17 year old telling my husband the other day that we just weren't doing it right. I didn't hear the convo but apparently she kept going until he reminded her that if had have kids when we first got together they would be just about her age. He told me that and I spent the afternoon in the bedroom crying.
Once you add the costs and the stress and everything else, I feel like I could just crumble. I'm sooooo mad and frustrated right now I can barely even think straight!
Re: So frustrated!!
I may have some violent tendencies, kept in check by playing rugby for 20 years, but I think I would have required restraints in order not to have throat-punched that little know-nothing twinkie.
All I can say is hang in there, keep your eye on the prize, and ignore 17 year olds who haven't the faintest clue how to "do it right." You were not in a place to have babies when you first met DH, but you are now and are doing everything to make it happen. Your future child is going to be so appreciated and valued.

I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. Not sure why your friend felt the need to tell you. 17 y.o.'s have no idea. I wouldn't have when I was 17. That's no excuse for her being in your business, though, or for her father telling you about it.
I spent the week counseling a KU 17 y.o. and trying to convince her to tell her mother before someone else does. It's all sorts of fun to deal with.
