So I've been putting off buying maternity clothes as long as possible (I'm super cheap when it comes to buying myself stuff), but I can't stand squeezing into normal jeans anymore. It's so uncomfortable!
My question is, what size should I get? Pre-Pregnancy I was a size 8, but those were impossible to get on about a month ago. I've been wearing size 10s since then, but now those are getting tight as well :[. I know you're supposed to get the size you were pre-pregnancy, but I'm scared to get an 8 because the 10s fit my legs/butt snuggly now too -- it's not just my stomach.
So should I get an 8 or a 10 in maternity jeans?
p.s. the reason I'm not trying them on in the store to find out is because i'm 5'11", and have to order them online.
Re: Stupid Maternity Clothes Question
Most of the maternity clothes I've seen are in Small, Medium, Large - not actual numbered sizes. You'll probably be fine in a medium.
I'm a 12 and I finally found some large that fit me - some were too big, some too tight in the thighs. Just like regular clothes, they're all cut differently. And I think someone just recently said there are some stores that carry tall in the store...Old Navy, maybe?
I wish you luck with your adventures
Even though they would be super short you can still try them on "for size" in the store. This makes sense to me.

If you order from Old Navy, order the 8. I usually wear a 10 in dress pants, and all the ON pants I ordered in size 10 were huge. I found a size 8 in store that happened to be a return that works well.
Other than that store, I would go with the 10 depending on the fit of the pant you are ordering. The legs and butt in maternity pants should fit the same as in regular pants.
Oh, and I'm so excited for you to get some maternity pants! I LOVE maternity pants and don't know why I even tried belly bands or squeezing into my old pants!
