When does your LO nap?

DS has always been a really good napper, bad at night sleeper. He was napping at 10 & 2 for nearly 2 hours each nap. The last week or so he has been napping around 11 & 4 for 45 min to an hour! I work from home so nap time for me was uninterrupted work time. Do you think he is ready to go down to one nap? Will he go back to being an awesome napper twice a day? Do I just deal with 2 short naps?

He might be ready for 1 nap or he might just be teething or have something else going on that's messing with his sleep. I would give him another week or so to see if he gets back on schedule before moving to 1 nap. I, admittedly, am a big fan of two naps. A still naps at 9:30 (for about 1-1.5hours) and 2:30 (for about 2-2.5 hours).

DS2 gets up around 7-8 am, and then naps from 12:30-2:30 (while my older son is at preschool). He naps a little later and longer on weekends. I had to push him into one nap a day when he was about 11 months, bc of preschool.

My older son took two naps until he was close to 18 months, so he might not be ready. hth

1 nap 2-3 hrs long, anywhere between 11:30 and 4 pm

ETA: I have to say I love the one nap. 2 naps of an hour to an hour and a half don't let me accomplish anything major. One large nap means I can take my own catnap, watch a tv show, cook, read a book, go run errands ...

LOL.  Sometimes DS takes a morning nap but usually its just one for 2-3 hours at 1pm.

Thanks everyone! I guess one 2-3 hour nap is better than the two 45-1 hour naps he is taking! Hopefully he is just cutting a tooth and will go back to 2 naps soon (fingers crossed)

We switched to one nap at a year. It is from 12-2:30 usually.
