ugh, MIL vent!

my MIL says the rudest things. I can't take it. She just told me today that my babies "looked terrible when they were born". I am sorry, but just because they were tiny at birth and it is now almost 7 months later doesn't make it okay to say something like that. Ugh I want to smack her!

Aww... I'm so sorry she said that. DH and I were looking tonight at our baby's photos from the day after he was born, and it broke our hearts seeing how tiny and frail he was then compared to now (just three weeks later), but I would STRANGLE anyone who told me he looked "terrible" then. My eyes are welling up with tears at the thought of your MIL telling you that! UGH!

I am so sorry she said that to you. That is wrong on so many levels I am sick to my stomach hearing it. Yes they may have looked tiny but that doesn't make it right to make and awful comment about your grandchildren. Ughh, I am sorry!

I can't believe that she said that.  I am so sorry - and that was uncalled for on her part.  They are beautiful not matter what because they are your babies... no matter how tiny or early or whatever that they were.  And those are her grandchildren - could she have been ruder? I am sorry  If anything - I think they are super cute!!!!!

I can't believe that.  Look how far they've come and Ethan is almost home!  Next time she says something like that (hopefully never) remind her that they're her grandchildren and they were beautiful when they were born and they're beautiful now.
