HI! I have never posted here before but the GP board suggested I post here. I have been TTC for about 8 months. I am on Provera now and I have an appointment at the beginning of next month and the next step is Clomid. The thought terrifies me for some reason. Can you give me your opinion/experience with Clomid? I guess I just need some reassurance.
Re: newbie
Hi and welcome.
Are you going to be monitored on Clomid with u/s and b/w? That is highly highly recommended.

Are you seeing an RE or OB?

Welcome.
any treatment will terrify someone who has never done it before. Ask your dr. to give you as much information as they can, and to walk you through the procedure.
I assume you'll be on 50 mg Clomid? On lower doses, things aren't so bad. And some people tolerate even higher doses just fine.
There are a variety of side effects. Taking Clomid at night can help you sleep through a lot of them. If you get any visual side effects, call your dr. ASAP.
Clomid can increase your chances of multiples, but only to a chance of 5-10%.
You should be monitored on Clomid. A majority of women have no issues with it, but there are some side effects (cysts, hyperstimulation, thinned uterine lining) that should be checked for.
Good luck.
