My husband is going to paint the baby's room and since we are in an apartment, I expect there to be some fumes throughout our home even if we keep the door closed, windows open and fan running.  What type of paint do you think is safest for me and the baby?

Many hardware stores sell low VOC or zero VOC paints now. You can get almost all the colors from the HGTV collection in zero VOC at Sherwin Williams, if there's one in your area.

It's mostly the colors that cause all the VOC/fumes. After spot painting a few chips in the house a few months ago, I'll definitely be chipping out for EFF paint if we re-paint the house. It reeked for DAYS otherwise. Here's a few I wrote down from early EFF conversations:

We used Benjamin Moore zero VOC paint. I have a nose like a hawk and have not smelled a thing.  DH said it was very easy to use and would highly recommend it!
