Nitrates?

Are they bad during pregnancy? Do I need to throw away my turkey sausage and regular bacon ( I was craving it and I normally don't eat bacon).

I don't eat nitrates or nitrites at all. pregnant or not. If you're really craving something you can find clean versions at a health food store and most normal grocers. For instance Hormel makes a nitrate free bacon
