Freezing Pads After Delivery

I've heard of putting witch hazel on a pad and then freezing it to use when you're healing.  This may be a dumb question, but does this go directly on your skin?  Doesn't it hurt?

  • It feels heavenly  =)  Cold, but that's the idea.

  • It sounds heavenly now... I can only imagine what it would be like after delivery. Might be better than a margarita, but I'll have to wait to confirm that.
  • I can only imagine how much my poor poor vag is going to hurt after having this baby?.I think I?m already starting to crave those frozen pads

  • I have heard of doing it with diapers because they just stay in the jelly form and dont freeze hard.  I wonder if the pads do the same!
  • The witch hazel pads are heavenly after delivery and it doesn't hurt in the slightest bit.  In the hospital they also take infant pampers and cut a slit in one end and fill it with ice.  I made those on a daily basis at home for the first week and it felt so good.
