Gerber prefolds

Im new to this. I don't know anything other that what I have learned from the FAQ's.

So...Does anyone know if the cheap gerber prefolds from walmart are ok to use? Do they suck when it comes to absorbancy. I assume you get what you pay for but I was curious.

They're good for burp cloths, but that's about it.

I used them with LO #2 out of necessity and lack of CD research.  They do work but slack in absorbency.

Burp cloths and cleaning rags. 

We've had ours for 2.5 years now, and the weave still isn't tight enough nor are they thick enough to absorb much of anything.

They are poorer quality than other prefolds.  They'll work in a pinch, but expect the cover to get pretty wet and possibly leak.  I use the gerbers I was gifted as burp cloths or to catch the occassional leak.
