Our pedi has my boys are Enfamil Enfacare. I was wondering if anyone else has used this formula? Do most pedis recommend this formula? My boys were born at 36 and 3 days. We just switched from breastmilk so this is the first few days on the formula and they seem to be doing okay.

Yes, my daughter is on Enfamil Enfacare. They usually give it to preemies to help them gain weight. Look for coupons because it's a little on the pricy side and they don't sell it in big containers.

At my hospital, they used Similac Neosure. That's what they used to fortify my BM with at first. It's the same thing as the Enfacare- just the Enfamil brand. What makes those different from regular formulas is the caloric content. They are 22 calorie and regular formula is 20cal. Your pedi might not leave your boys on that if they gain weight properly since they were (almost) full term. You can discuss it with them. pp is right though, it is pricy so coupons help.

My twins are on Neosure, but I did try the Enfacare too. They are basically the same and are both 22 cal feedings. If you sign up on simalac's website they will send you coupons and samples. I have already received 2, 8 count premixed boxes. And with them they send a $2.50 off coupon. (I signed up 2 weeks ago so they send samples quickly  ) I found Neosure at Target and Babies'r'us, but it's not in my local grocery store.

We were on Enfacare for a while.  A hint for you, Enfamil hands out these coupon type things to pedi offices for moms to redeem, it sends a case to your house.  Ask you pedi for one and if they have it call and make it very clear that you have TWO babies on this formula.  They sent me an extra case so I ended up with 12 cans of formula free from the company, it was about a month before I had to buy more!

We were on neosure (similac's brand of high cal formula). There is also a Parent's Choice version at Walmart now that is MUCH cheaper than the name brands.  I wish I'd known about it sooner. 

My little dude was on it for a long time (9 months) so,  that would have saved us a ton.
