Our RE was on vacation last week so the wait was exceptionally long...like 1.5 hours
, but honestly what could we do? Our doc apologized several times for it so i tried to control my annoyance (that can be difficult for me!) Finally we were brought in and we went over all the tests done over the past 3 weeks.
For me, we reviewed the HSG films and he noted something with the left tube (there might be a constriction), but as the dye pushed through it was clearly unblocked. He said for now it could just be a red herring and we can investigate further if IUIs don't work as the films were inconclusive. My prenatal panel was all normal (negative for rubella, CF, etc) with the exception of low Vit D and progesterone was slightly low; both very treatable issues.
DH's second SA came as a pleasant surprise. Though he does have a small varicocele, the second SA showed great morph, normal motility and normal count (20 mil, right on border of normal range). That was really good news but now it doesn't explain why we are still not pregnant!
The plan: Clomid with IUI + trigger this month. Since yesterday was CD2, they did a quick blood draw for infectious diseases, I signed the consent, we did the baseline u/s (normal!) and I'll get my script today to begin Clomid. I'll begin monitoring early next week and IUI should be late next week.
I was grateful they were able to get me in this cycle - they were rushing the bloods and my RE did the u/s between pt visits...I could tell the staff was putting in later than normal hours since it really thinned down but everyone was still very nice. Although they should be after we waited 1.5 hours. Just sayin.
Thanks for reading! Are there any March IUI cyclers out there to check in? Would you mind if I joined? I'd like to post here as well if you ladies would have me ![]()
