BABY BRENNEN IS HERE FOR gfornkol

Hi all.  I know some of you know gfornkol and have been giving her some great support.  She posted on her in regards to having a baby under 28 weeks.  Here is her post: https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/63944749.aspx
 
Well as the subject of this post says, Brennen James was born at 2:24am weighing 2lbs 2oz.  This boy is a fighter and was ready to meet his mommy.  On yesterday, Gin had started contracting and they tried to stop them.  It worked, but when some bleeding started later that day, they felt it better to let nature take it's course to prevent further complications.  
 
Early evening, her doctor came to cut the stitch she had in place and by 9pm she was 90% effaced and 1cm.  He came in the wee hours of the morning, eyes bright.  I am having trouble posting the picture, but I am you preemie mommies know the drill.  He is on oxygen of course and they are monitoring him closely.
 
I have not heard from Gin since 4am as I am quite sure she is beat and resting. I will update you all when I can. Thanks for giving her some great support.  It really comforted her.

    Aw, congrats to Gin! I can't wait to see baby Brennan's photo and to hear an update on how mama and baby are doing!

    Yup.  He was measuring at 26 weeks.  Docs are shocked at his size and how everything else is functioning.  Except his lungs.  They have not said he is stable yet because of it.  It's a bit of stress right now for Gin.  She is heading down to the NICU soon this morning to see about feeding him.

    Congrats and what a beautiful name! He is a beautiful little boy.

    Her birth story sounds much like mine. I also had to move forward with labor because of bleeding. Wishing Brennen a short NICU stay.
