I'll probably get to schedule the big ultrasound next week and now the anticipation is killing me! Up until now, we were dead set on not finding out the sex until the big day....but I think I've changed my mind! I think if we're having a boy I'll want to totally redo the room, and start getting 'boy' things. ![]()
I'm so weak!

The Chronicles of Justin and Tyler
I am going to agree with Katie! I was all about finding out what we were having before I was pg and even up to a few weeks before the u/s. I decided the day of that I didn't want to know and I am so glad I did it that way! Yes, we got a ton of green and yellow, but it was so cool to have DH tell me "It's a girl!". It's a moment I will never forget!
Stay strong!!!
Not finding out the sex of the baby was hard at first, but got easier. DH wanted to know at first, but I talked him into letting it be a surprise. It was the BEST feeling in the world when I had Ayden and the doctor said "You have a SON"!!!! Everyone thought we were having a little girl so we were really surprised. Only 3 people thought we were having a little boy. But then when I look back I think I subconsciously new it was a boy b/c just about everything I bought was geared more towards boys. Also, I went to the hospital in a pink shirt and had packed a blue shirt to come home in. Weird....Whatever you decide to do will still be special. I will always have it be a surprise. It was such a wonderful feeling. Especially, having my dad run into the room and asking me what the baby was with tears in his eyes. He finally got his little boy (he has all girls-I was his tomboy
)
Good Luck!!
We were dead set on not finding out too. Then we totally caved and I'm so glad that I did! It was still a special moment for us to be told it was a girl, even if it was before she was born!
Let us know what you decide!

Good luck with your decision, let us know what you do! I know that I HAD to know, I too am a control freak/major planner. I don't feel like it ruined anything knowing she was a girl, and I am glad we were able to plan/decorate/pick names etc.
I loved our "It's a Girl!" moment except my OB/GYN said, "It's a Nora!" (She knew the names we picked out for either sex).
I don't blame you for wanting to find out though. I think I'd be tempted with a second child too. I'm sure you're going to want to know if you're going to get to reuse all of that little girl stuff! :-)
At first we both said we didn't want to find out the sex, but I'm super impatient and my husband is quasi-impatient (hehe) so of course we found out.
You'll have to let us know if/when you do find out!
cave cave! lol.
i don't think of being anxious to find out as being weak. i wanted to know when i was pg with ava and i want to know again this time. i liked knowing what we were having, calling ava by her name instead "the baby" and planning things specifically for her rather than being generic about it during my pregnancy. knowing what we were having did not take away from the big moment of meeting her when she was born whatsoever!
I'm a planner at heart so I have to know. ?Our big ultrasound is scheduled for Nov 14. Only 2 more weeks. I can't wait!!
