what to wear/where to take for 7 mos maternity pix?

This is my 3rd pregnancy...3u3, (due in August) but I have never had maternity pictures done. I plan to do this time around and wondering if any mamas here have had them done. What did you wear and what colors were best? I think the background in the studio is white. I was thinking about having my belly tattooed with henna for some pix. Anyone tried that? Would you recommend pix outside? TIA

I loved showing off my belly and pregnant body, I also had a summer baby so I wore a sarong (Kind of like this only slightly more sheer) and a few strands of long pearls and a pink, red, and white lei.I also did pictures of my favorite bikini (denim).

If you aren't as in love with your pregnant body my best friend bought a super cute blue jersey dress that flowed at the bottom and took some really cute pictures with childrens blocks that spelled out 'boy', 'Anthony' and 'Tony'

I think Henna would be cool! I might have to try that this time if you don't mind me taking your idea!

I was thinking of painting my belly with different things that would be going on in June/July or something relevant to this pregnancy.

My photographer recommends black and white tops.  She does a lot of cute pics with mommy in pre - pg jeans (obviously unbuttoned).  We also did a few with my shirt rolled up to expose my belly.  She will do some with a flowing sheet wrapped around mommy too.  Here is a link to her maternity gallery, hopefully it gives you some ideas: https://jenniferjayne.com/gallery.php?GalleryID=134&GalleryName=Maternity&OrderNum=1

I second the black and/or white tops.  Solid colors look best in photos, especially if you plan on showing off your belly painted with henna (great idea, btw!)

I took photos both indoors (if your nursery is ready, there are some good photo opportunities) and outdoors.  If you have time, search online for ideas.
