Avitar Problems

I'm new and only a few weeks along but excited for all of the help and info I'll be able to find on here! I have one question though, when I am on the main page it says my name and has my ticker but the wrong avitar. But then when I go in to edit my profile it shows the correct avatar. I'm sick of seeing the wrong one, thanks to anyone who can help a slightly technology impaired bumpie!

Mine was like that for the first 24 hours after uploading an actual picture. Site lag I guess.
