Have you noticed issues with regard to purchased items coming off of the list?

 

My mom just looked at mine and said that items she knows people bought are still on there as not yet purchased.

The gift giver may not have given the BRU associate your registry or they may have bought the item at Target or Walmart for a lower price.

I only had 2 things not come off out of over 80 things bought.

I hope not - I have a an idea that my shower may be soon. Stupid BRU better get thier sh*t together!

I had a few things that happened with, although one of our friends mentioned the registry was down when they bought our gift, so that was part of it.  We've been lucky in that we haven't received duplicates because of it and we have been able to update the registry ourselves.

I didn't have issues at BRU with that. At Walmart yes, but not BRU.

Yes!  My shower was October 12 and my one friend kept telling me the gift she bought online was not coming off the registry.  I know around that time, BRU went through a website redesign but at my shower - I got 3 of the same gift.  AND - it's still on my resgistry as not purchased.

Ive had people buy things from other places and not take it off the registry

Yes this happened with a handful of my items. I have a feeling it was the weekend when the registry was down & they were changing formats. That was when coworkers were out buying stuff. I ended up receiving dups of 3 items. My registry is also showing 2 items bought that I haven't received. I'm hoping the 2 people that didn't come to my shower bought those and I just haven't received them yet.

Mine is just showing one thing bought that I haven't received.  But I did have a friend who wasn't able to make it to my shower at the last minute, so maybe it was her.

Yes - just the other day it happened. My mom's friend asked my mom where I was registered at. My mom told her BRU. She then told my mom she went online, looked at the registry and bought several gifts from it. Nothing is showing as purchased.

I think if it's bought offline it takes 24 hours to take off the registry and if its bought in the store it should come off immediately. Maybe they didn't tell the cashier it was from a registry.

Oh, I guess I should add that I wasn't sure about BRU because the registry was always down... but I had no duplicates or issues with my registry in the end. Also, they took back a few items, even if I didn't have the gift receipt which I heard they would no longer do. So overall I was happy with them.

This just happened with one of my items. I like on the Target Registry that if someone buys you something off the registry and something else, that other thing they bought shows up on your registry as purchased. It looks like I registered for Pup-A-Roni treats! People must think I am crazy, I don't even have a dog.
