DS mad while learning to crawl?

DS is a spit fire...there is just no other way to put it.  When he's happy he is really happy, but when he is mad he is REALLY mad.

As of lately he is up on all fours and rocking back and forth.   As of today he is up on all fours every time he is on his belly and he is starting to move his hands. While I am really excited for this milestone, he is squealing really loudly and is SO mad.  I have been on the floor with him all morning cheering him on and I have also tried leaving him for a minute thinking maybe I was distracting him.  If I pick him up from practicing he just pushes away with his arms like "let me down!".  He is napping right now and I am very much enjoying the "break"!

Anyone else's LO do this?  How long did it last?

Re: DS mad while learning to crawl?

  • It lasted about 3 weeks for us. Even now, she's started to crawl and is still pissed off a the fact that she has to do it.

    She's a bit of a b!tchy princess.

  • My DD is exactly this. She tries to keep those hips up and crawl, but she ends up collapsing onto her tummy and grunts in frustration, then she worms her way from place to place, but grunting in anger the whole time. You can tell she really wants to get around, but just doesn't have an effective way to do it yet.

  • DS learned to roll from back to tummy over 2 months ago, he really still hasn't figured out how to go from tummy to back or doesn't do it often. I have seen it but I don't think he knows how it happens yet.  Since then he will not stay on his back because rolling is the coolest and he does not care for tummy time although he has had to become a lot more tolerant as me and DH are sick of rolling him over.  He has started to scoot some but does seem mad when he rocks back and forth
