i heard my babys heart beat at 11 weeks. i'am now almost 15 weeks and i bought this fetal doppler JPD-1008 portable fetal doppler off amazon 2.5 MHZ. I can not find heart beat all i hear is static. I am frekn out cryn. is my baby gone!
Unless you're trained to use a doppler, I wouldn't freak out. If your doctor can't find it, then I'd worry, but the baby is still small and moves around so you may have just not been able to find it where you were looking.

Breathe. My doctor (trained and with good equipment) couldn't find my baby's HB until 14 weeks so it is completely possible that you, untrained and with unverified equipment can't find what is definitely there.
Have you looked on youtube for help in finding the heartbeat with your doppler? I would not freak out just yet though but if you are really concerned, like the pp said, call your Dr.
I was able to find the heartbeat at 11weeks about an inch under my belly button but towards the right of my belly. Since week 13, I have noticed that I now usually find the baby about maybe half and inch to an inch directly under my belly button. The baby will move so this could be why you are having a hard time finding it. I sometimes get it and then after a few seconds, the baby moves away so I have to look for it again. Plus, sometimes, I notice is sounds faint so I have to push a bit harder down. Go over every area slowly and gradually move the probe. Good Luck!

I got my doppler around 14 weeks and had a hard time finding this LO's heartbeat for a while. It was hit and miss for a while and often for only a few seconds since she was moving around a lot. I agree that if you're that concerned, you should see about going into your doc for a doppler check.

This. When my doc is looking for it, he usually tries on different places before he can actually find it. If you are concerned make the call to your doc.

I'm glad I didn't know those things existed (to where I could buy one myself) that would drive me crazy!! Sometimes in the doctors office the nurse gets static. Babies can be hardheaded sometimes or move around like crazy (like mine does) to where she has a hard time getting her heartbeat. Actually it happened last week and her heartbeat was 165bpm. Sometimes movement scares me and then when I can't take it any longer she squirms like a worm for hours.
Please, don't let this stress you out. H&P everything will be ok.
I have one that was a hand-me-down from my SIL and it says in fine print on the box that you should be between 25-27 weeks before using - check your box.
Please PLEASE do not freak out... we had an appointment a week ago and the midwife could BARELY find the heartbeat. We heard it for a weak 2 seconds before she lost it again. It took a good 5 minutes to find it too. You really need to be trained to do that sort of thing, I never liked the idea of a home doppler.
ps. When I was in labor with my son they had a horrible time finding his heartbeat with the belly monitor too.

Dont freak out. At my 16 week apt my doctor took a long time finding the heart beat. I got all worried and asked if something was wrong. The dr said no, when it is this early it can sometimes be difficult to find the heart beat with the hand held doppler. The dr said you have to be right on top of them to pick it up so it is common to have to search for LO alittle to find the heartbeat.
Not to mention her OB is OK with amusement park rides and of course the GBCB because we're all a bunch of meanies. I remember her saying she is 16 and she got accepted to Ivy League schools...and then someone found her personal info and posted it...not a cool move on the re-post. But definitely MUD.
I knew I recognized OP's name--good catch, Kelnyc.

Just take a deep breath. The doc used the doppler on me last week at 15 1/2 weeks and could not pick up the heartbeat. This happened with my first as well. She said she would just try next time. The baby is still small and probably hiding. Try higher or lower and drink some fluids. She only spent about 1 min trying to find baby 3 heartbeat. Unfortuantely I had the other 2 with me and they were getting restless.
Oh, I remember you. I thought you left because we are all big mean heads.
Just call your OB. I'm sure they can put your mind to ease. We can not virtually solve any problems. Also, as many other posters will tell you, at home dopplers can be unreliable and hard to use if you are not trained.

The spelling makes me think this is MUD.

I'm sure your baby is just fine. You, on the other hand, need more help than the ladies here can give you. Why don't you go do your English homework?
Yeah... she made it pretty easy to recognize her.
I remember her. Good one.

Reason # 54 that home dopplers are a BAD idea (don't get me wrong, I hustled right out and bought one with my first pregnancy- I learned since then)
Calm down, put down the doppler and make an apt.
