New to The Bump

? Symptoms. Could I be pregnant?

Hello Everyone,

Im just looking for some 2nd opinions.  I was on Tri-Sprintec and was spotting a lot in December so I skipped my placebo pills he week I'm supposed to get my period and just start the next pack.  I'd done this before and never had a problem.  Well two weeks ago Thursday I stopped the pills.  The pack was supposed to e up Saturday and I was going on vacation and didn't want to pack another thing.  Since then I have not gotten a period and have had a lot of cramping.  I've taken 3 pregnancy tests and the first had a faint line but nothing definite.  So I took an EPT with the words pregnant or not pregnant two days later and it said not pregnant.  So took another one this past Tuesday an again said no. I called my OBGYN and her nurse said I'm not getting my period because I screwed up the pill cycle.  I just find thy hard I believe because my whole time on the pill I always get my period within two days of taking the last pill.  So I'm still having the cramping and the area around my uterus just feels really full and bloate like when I was pregnant with my first child.    Also starting yesterday I've had some white discharge that is very thick and mucusy which is definitely not normal for me.  Also have had some nausea as well but have had a cold recently.

So anyway after all this im just looking for some advice or opinions of what's going on or what to do next.   Thanks so much!!!

  • If you got a faint line on your 1st pregnancy test I would imagine maybe you had a chemical pregnancy. Those tests are pretty accurate. Since you're still having cramping I would schedule a visit with your OBGYN. Maybe at that appointment you could discuss pill options that are better for taking continuously so you can skip placebo pills in similar situation as you recently had.
