It seems more and more that I will be doing this journey without my husband. And I was wondering if there was anything that you ladies may have read that has "helped" with this transition? I just need to be "ok" with this for my daughter and her soon to be little sibling and I have no idea how to get there from here.
Re: Positive single parenting books?
I don't have any book suggestions, but from my experience time works wonders! I know that's horrible to hear because there is nothing you can do to speed time, but honestly it's the best healer.
Counseling is also a good thing; it helps you to keep a positive perspective and gives you coping skills.
Best of luck!
Counseling helped me a lot. It depends on what your situation is. I know that I read a lot of books about abusive situations (verbal/emotional/manipulation).
Here are a few:
"He's Just No Good for You: Your Guide for Getting Out of a Destructive RElationship"
"The Manipulative Man"
"Why Does He Do That? Inside the Minds of Angry, Controlling Men"
