I think this was like the 4th or 5th one. I went to take of LOs pjs this AM and the gel crap was everywhere. I don't know if we got a bad batch or what. Maybe it's because he's more active now ? No clue but it's a giant PITA to have to bathe him and clean up that mess first thing in the morning. Anyone had this problem? We currently use the Pampers Extra Protection overnights. Should we try another brand? TIA
Re: Trouble with overnight diapers "exploding"?
Yes, we had the exact same problem with the exact same diapers. It was super annoying! That gel crap sticks to everything. I called the company, and they sent me a refund for the box. (At first they just offered coupons, but I told them we had a whole box of diapers we couldn't use and I was mad about it.) Now, we just use the regular size 4 Pampers Cruisers at night with no problem.
They also said the gel is non-toxic, and won't hurt the baby's skin, FYI. They said it is non-toxic to the point that can even be ingested, though I wouldn't test this assertion, lol.
I use cloth diapers so I've only dealt with 4 poop explosions since baby was born.
My older son I used disposables with, he had at least 5 explosions a week, and I touched and handled poop so much more then I do now using cloth. As for the gel...that stuff makes me sick to my stomach knowing what is in it. *shudder*

being a cloth diaper user, that sounds more disgusting that poop everywhere.
