That was nice

I just took a mini-vacation with DD to Seville, Spain. I lived there in college for a year and have some friends there still, but we were mostly just hanging out without any schedule, other people's demands, nothing. DH stayed behind working. It was so, so nice to just hang out with her and not stress about whether we did this or that or got places on time or whether DD wanted to wear a coat or not (it was gloriously warm, in the high 60s/low 70s!). DD loved all the fancy flamenco dresses on display in shop windows and we saw a live flamenco show one night, which she behaved perfectly for and later tried to recreate in our hotel room.

My only complaint is against the well-meaning hotel clerk who saw on the reservation I was traveling with a small child and gave us two twin beds in the room instead of a full-sized bed. This means I co-slept with DD in a twin-sized bed the whole time!
