Yikes that is a toughy! I think I will go with Kendall, but I'd spell it more feminine (I know there are a lot of moms out there not fans of various spellings of names). We have a girl at work that spells it Kendyl. I like that better.

Adding a random Y does not make it more feminine. Honestly, I have NO idea why people think this.
OP- Kendall is nice but IMO its a last name only. I guess I'd prefer Laine/y

Re: which baby girl name do you like better :)
I would agree with this. I like Lainey but I think of a little girl when I hear it. Kendall could be a child or adult name.
This made me lol- I have a cousin named Lainey (full name Shellane), and her daughter is Kendall!
I prefer Kendall. Lainey sounds like a nickname to me.
I don't like either... I mean, I like Lainey as a NN but not a full name... and Kendall sounds like kindel or like Ken doll (the barbie). Not a fan
How about Lainey as a NN? There are some nice names that that NN can come from...
Commenting before reading, but I vote for Lainey. I am biased since our DD is Laine.
May I suggest giving her a longer name (or a shorter one, like we did) and using Lainey as a NN? We were concerned that Lainey wouldn't age well.
Kendall.
I really like Laine with the nn Lainey though.

Definitely Kendell.
I think that Lainey is adorable, but I don't think it would age well.
What about Delaney, with the nickname Lainey?
