Working my first night shift

I took a part-time evening shift at my work, and tonight's the first night trying out the shift.  It's 1:45am - my eyes are heavy, my head's foggy, I'm tweaking out on the venti mocha I got earlier, the English language is starting to be a challenge for me, and I desperately want to sleep.  And I know when I get home that Mikayla will be up just a few hours later, rarin' to go.

This is going to be an adjustment, that's for sure.  Thank God it's only a few nights a week.  :)

  • I always got wierded out by working graveyards. It messes with your body clock, no one else is awake, and the nest is DEAD!

  • Well, I got home a little after 2am, and our precious baby who normally STTN decides to wake up right then, and stay away for 2 more hours.  Ahhhh, I was so tired!  Then she woke up at 7:30 like normal.  Thankfully she went to bed about an hour later and slept for a good 2 hours so I got a decent nap in.

I'm back at work tonight again, let's see if I survive!  :)

  • Isn't there a midnight mommies board on The Nest?

Anyways, I hope you survive too!
