my first D&C/ laparoscopy

Had my fist surgery on tuesday... went well, my tubes are now both clear and my dr. was able to cauterize the few small spots of endo he found. My stitches are frickin killing me and to make matters worse, my cat jumped on my naval incision today and I almost vomited. I am definitely also experiencing the upper chest/ shoulder pain that I read is a side effect of the CO2 gas. What was everyone else's experiences with a lap like?

My puppy kept jumping on my abdomen after surgery too!! But I love her too much tell her not to! haha. I didn't really have the upper chest/shoulder pain after my lap... but I know alot of people experience that. My lower abdomen just felt like someone ran over it for a few days. Like 4ish days post-op I started feeling better, stopped needing pain meds and was able to walk my dog again. All in all it was an ok experience... just a few painful days. Hope you feel better!!

my lap was awful, but my doc hit a blood vessel so my whole belly bruised!! the gas was bad for maybe 5 days then my tummy started to go down. move around a lot to keep the gas out of your chest and back. hope you feel better soon!

thanks for the advice, ladies! I have been trying to move around more all day and it does seem to be helping!
