Today Mason has his 6 month appointment and shots (even though he just turned 7 months). He took his shots like a champ, and he hasn't seemed too fussy since then. I gave him some Tylenol before bed because he was starting to get a little bit extra whiny, and I figured that it wouldn't hurt. He went to bed at 7, and he woke up already at 8:30pm. That is very rare for him. He usually doesn't wake until midnight. It's too early for food or Tylenol. I normally would work really hard to get home back down, but today I am breaking the rules. So ..... Mason is out in the living room playing. He is laughing and talking up a storm. I was supposed to work tonight, but they cancelled my shift. I am happy to be here to make my baby happy when he is probably feeling a little under the weather. Rules (and bedtimes) are made to be broken, right?

Re: Breaking the rules
Sounds like a reasonable plan to me! Hope he sleeps well the rest of the night when you do get him down. FWIW, my LO handled the 6 mo shots much better than the 2 and 4 mo ones. It was almost like they didn't vaccinate him!
PS Cute pic!
Oh my, that badge is awesomely ridiculous. And I hope Mason feels better soon.
Hope he feels better!
And baby rules are totally meant to be broken, especially on doctor/shot days.
Yes! Rules & bedtimes were made to be broken sometimes! I also think babies are supposed to be spoiled!!
Awww... he's so cute!
Oh yeah, about the rules... I have no standing on which to speak about being a responsible adult.
