Infertility

this day blows

I am 9dp3dt and started spotting this afternoon. My RE nurse isn't too concerned, and they won't move my beta up from Monday. Seems late for implantation bleeding, so the tiny shred of hope I had left is pretty much gone. I went home early from work because I was so upset and had a killer headache on top of it.

Then the icing on the cake? Got our letter from the embryologist (finally!). NONE of our 6 remaining embryos made it to freeze. DH and I are devastated. Although I'm not too surprised because they said at transfer the 5 embies that got rescue ICSI were pretty poor quality.

I want to go hide in a hole... :'(
After 5 TI Clomid cycles, 5 IUIs, and 2 IVFs we finally got our BFP!
Beta#1 (12dp3dt)= 353, Beta#2 (15dp3dt)= 1466, Beta#3 (22dp3dt)= 14,139, First u/s: TWINS!!
After 10 weeks of bedrest, our two little ladies joined us at 28w6d

  • Chels I'm so sorry you're feeling down and no exactly what you're going through. We did rescue icsi during our first ivf cycle and the embryo didn't make it to freeze. I was devastated. Give yourself time to be upset because I know how awful that feels. ((Hugs))

  • I don't think that is implantation spotting, but it could certainly be pregnancy related spotting. Good luck! Sorry about the embies :-(

This exactly. Don't give up hope yet. Many women spot and go on to have a healthy PG.

I just want to let you know I started having brown spotting on day 9 as well. Told nurse and she said it doesn't happen too much but does occur and it could be because progesterone level is a little low. I spotted for about 3 days and had my beta today. It is a 28.5 which is low but still a positive right now. Fingers crossed!!

  • Hi Chels! I'm sorry you are going through this! Run (from the Love Bugs) & I had some spotting/bleeding too. Yesterday at 8dp5dt I had a light AF flow (more than spotting). My RE is not concerned either & agreed to only move up my beta by 1 day to 10dp5dt (I begged them b/c usually they won't do one until 11dp5dt!). I have no idea what my bleeding was either but it's definitely depressing & frustrating having to wait to have answers! I hope Monday comes very fast for you!! Hugs!

Thanks so much Marie.  I definitely have heavier spotting today, but at least it hasn't completely turned into AF.  If I could just get a d@mn BFP on a HPT I would feel a little better!
