Both middle names would be from paternal and maternal grandparents. But I just love the names! A few family members and friends todl me they hate Dexter ( those who know, a lot of people don't even know yet)
Stella Rose is beautiful. REALLY not a fan of Dexter however. (That said, I'm a huge fan of the show... so naming a child after a vigilante serial killer would be out of the question for us)
DH and I love the name Dexter. We want to name ours Dexter James (middle is a family name as well) and our family is the same way. They all make fun of us for wanting to name our child after a serial killer.
I'm not a fan of the name Dexter, but that's because I have a negative connotation from someone I knew with that name. Stella Rose and Lawrence are all perfect IMO.
I love the show Dexter, all the books, and Dexter's Laboratory kids show. I like the name Dexter but DH wouldn't go for it. When I suggested it, he said we might as well just name him Michael C Hall Ourlastname. Ha. He's funny.
Dexter is a guilty pleasure of mine, as I love the name (huge fan of the show as well) but I'm not sure if I could use it (partly because of the show, actually). I think the nickname Dex is pretty cool. I like Stella too.

Love both your name choices. As PP said thos Stella is becoming increasingly popular so as long as you're ok with that. Dexter is on our list for our boy (I love the nn Dex) but it is one of those names that people either seem to love it or hate it, not so much in between!
As long as Dexter Lawrence is for a boy and Stella Rose is for a girl, you're good either way. If both are potential girl names...stick with Stella!

"And can it be that in a world so full and busy, the loss of one weak creature makes a void in any heart, so wide and deep that nothing but the width and depth of vast eternity can fill it up." - Charles Dickens
Love Stella Rose!! We are having a baby girl in May and are pretty much set that she will be Stella Rose. We both love Stella and Rose is a family name. Granted we both like this name, but I don't think Stella is getting too popular. Good Luck!!!!

I really am loving Lawrence these days! I'm not a big fan of Dexter, but the flow is great. I'm not familiar with the show.
Stella Rose is pretty, albeit popular.
Haha, yes - I'll have to agree with your hubby on this one

ITA, including about the show. Great names.
I love Dexter!
I don't care for Stella at all.
I think that both names are awesome! Dexter would be SO cute on a little boy, and I think that it's a badass grown-up name, too.
Would it take a brave person to name their son Dexter? Most definitely. And I applaud you for that, madame.
This is exactly how I feel.
Love Stella Rosa.
Don't love Dexter...at all.

PAL/PGAL Welcome
LOVE both of them. I'm also very partial to Dexter... our son will be Dexter Cole (nn Dex).
