egg-free cake recipes

Anyone have any?

I used the egg subsitute they have at Whole Foods in a Duncan Hines cake mix and it worked ok, but the cake was more dense than usual and I think it rose only half of what it should have. Does anyone have any recipes or suggestions for making an egg-free cake?

Have you ever made the diet soda cake? ?All you do is add a can of soda to a cake mix. ?Bake until toothpick inserted comes out clean. (most people use a diet 7 up for white and cola for a chocolate) ?Allrecipes would probably have better instructions. ?I love the strawberry flavored cake topped with whipped cream- very yummy! ?Hope this helps!

Maybe you could try wholesomebabyfoods.com?  (I think that's the baby food site.)  I think I remember them having a bunch of recipes for healthy cakes.  Maybe at least one of them doesn't have egg.

a girl that i work with is vegan and has brought in cake a few times, egg free of course.  check out the website www.vrg.org it talks about egg replacer...and has a couple cake recipes.

I was also going to suggest the diet soda cake.  Its very yummy.  I like to do a white cake with diet orange soda, tastes like a dreamsicle or chocolate with diet cherry vanilla dr. pepper but u can do whatever!
