how did your oldest adjust?

DS will be 15 mo old when the new baby comes, i'm worried about him not getting the attention he's used to or not understanding why mommy needs to spemd so much time with the baby.

did you do anything to help with the adjustment? how did it go for you?

It was great. He really didnt even notice honestly.

I just involved him in everything. I would let him sit on my lap while I fed baby and read him a book/play a toy at the same time. I wore baby in a carrier a lot so I had my hands free to play/tend to him. I taught him early on to do simple things like grab diapers so he could be involved. They are really close now.

My kids are 17 months apart. My son didn't care. He just says baby over and over. Or if he hears him crying he says "baby". Getting a new baby book to read to him helped.
