Two Under 2

Due with #3 in 2 days SO NERVOUS

Why am I so nervous??  I have done 2u2 once before...I *think* one of the main reasons it was super hard for me was because DS#1 was in a challenging stage where he hit, pushed, and otherwise hurt any child he came into contact with and DD was a horribly difficult infant and screamed much of her first 7 months away.  I'm holding out a TINY shred of hope that DS#2 will be an easygoing baby, but I find myself being consumed with the what-ifs.  For instance, being stuck at home all the time due to nursing.  Is it really possible to still go places with 2 toddlers and nurse an infant?  I don't have a mommy's helper lined up and I fear that is going to bite me in the butt bigtime.  You mom's of 3 or more, did you have help or did you just roll up your sleeves and dig into the chaos of 3 tiny people?

Need reassurance...uh, again :)

  • I'm having my #3 on Tuesday... I'm nervous too, so I don't really have any suggestions, but I guess we'll both just have to take things as they come. I figure I'll try to venture out with all three even though I'll be nursing and see how it goes... I know it will be harder, but I figure that I'll just be really proud of myself if we make it our alive :) Good luck!

  • no advice here either, but I think it would be easier to nurse with two toddlers out..you have an extra hand and can nurse in a carrier too. I would think bottle feeding would be harder and more prep.

Do you have a carrier? I am planning on a K'tan this time and I have heard awesome things from my LLL friends about nursing on the go.

    You'll do great!!

  • I plan on relying a lot on the baby carriers again!  And the boys will definitely be going to school during the day.

    Good luck!!

  • We just did it. Though my parents kept DD#1 for the first few days we were home with the new one...that helped A TON. We got DS used to the baby and got into somewhat of a groove before we added the third into the mix...it really helped a lot during those first few days...and Iam so glad we accidentally did that. And honestly, going to 3 kids has been an absolute breeze for us...a bazillion times easier than going from 1 to 2.
