? about monitor and stroller, need advice
My LO will be 23 months when baby # 2 is born. Im going to put them in seperate rooms. So by 23m would you have stopped using a monitor and just use one for the new baby?
Or get two monitors?
Also about a stroller... Would you get a double stroller? Do you use it a lot? I have a regular stroller now.

We didn't get a 2nd monitor. Our children are currently in separate rooms but they will share a room eventually (we're making the transition currently). However, even if we were keeping them in separate rooms I wouldn't bother with a separate monitor because our son is loud enough that we can hear him without one. I know because we've forgotten to turn it on sometimes.
On the other hand, I wish we had a monitor that was permanently set up between her room and a window to the backyard because I frequently want to go out and play with my son and I don't like having the monitor on a battery for that long or moving the plug daily.
Stroller - We did not get a double yet. She is still small enough that I wear her. My son also is going through an anti-stroller phase so we actually walk the dog with me wearing her and him walking. It's working great so far and if we go somewhere where he might want the stroller I wear her as well. However, I anticipate that when we start bringing the stroller for her (around 6 months probably because it doesn't have an infant seat attachment) he might be interested again. Honestly I would love the convenience of pushing them both at that point but we won't invest in a double until the need arises based on the personalities of our particular children, and you can certainly survive without one initially.
DD will be 23mo old when DS is born. We will still use a monitoring system. I've researched a few and my husband and I feel this will be the best option for us. YOu can attach up to 5 cameras if needed.

As for a stroller. DD is trying her hardest to be more independent. We sold her travel system *She has an umbrella* and I can wear DS. We purchased DS a travel system and will also be getting a double stroller. We have everything we need for DS b/c we saved everything from DD. All we need is the monitor/stroller a friend of ours insisted on a shower so we're asking for diapers/wipes/books/gift cards if they ask us what we need. Hopefully GC can go towards the double stroller.
