Re: Lucky Clover Check-In
UPDATE: Had a great endo check this week and ready for transfer next Thur. Starting PIO this weekend and Lovenox. Very nervous about the PIO. I have gathered tons of great advice from the boards though and I am ready to take it on! This FET has been a breeze. It's a welcome change from the madness I felt during IVF.
QOTD- We went to Isle of Palms, SC. Just spent time relaxing on the beach and a day in Charleston. We extended our HM by a day and picked up SS from his Aunt's near Savannah and took him to Tybee along with his cousin. So our honeymoon turned into a familymoon and it was wonderful!
After 6 long years of TTC and a traumatic birth... I finally got to hold my baby in my arms!

Good luck ThereBeDragons on your beta today!
UPDATE: Still in the ever-frustrating 2ww! Walking a fine line between not getting my hopes too up, yet trying to maintain hope! PIO injections have been going surprisingly well (no pain), but some of its side effects have been tough (ridiculously tired, insomnia, and sooo hungry!). Very thankful to still be in the game!
QOTD: We had a difficult time deciding where to go -- there are so many places we want to visit or return to, and I'm a bit of a travel junkie. Among the contenders were Hawaii, somewhere in Europe, or an all-inclusive in Mexico or the Caribbean. We eventually decided on Northern California, and were beyond thrilled with our decision! We spent time in Carmel/Monterey, Napa & Sonoma valleys, and San Francisco. It was fabulous!!! Napa/Sonoma was probably our favorite part of the trip -- absolutely gorgeous, relaxing, and perfect for a pair of "locavores." Really wish we could move out that way!

DH put on anastrozole to increase counts
June/July 2011 100 mg Clomid + TS IUI#1 & IUI 2 - BFN :-(

IVF - January 2012: BFN
FET in April 2012 - BFP at 6dp5dt! Beta #1 at 9dp5dt: 82.5, Beta #2 at 12dp5dt: 352 Beta #3 at 19dp5dt: 6000, saw heartbeat and one little bean at 5W6D!
After nearly 3 years of waiting our LO was born December 18th 2012!
Update: I have 8 measurable follies this AM, woot! I'll take it.
QOTD: We went to Panama, which was very cool! We staying in a little hut over the water in Bocas Del Toro and did a lot of snorkeling, exploring, etc. We had a private guide and almost everything we did was just the two of us.
Disaster struck, though, when we were bicycling through the jungle to the other side of the island. The chain on my bike broke while I was standing on the pedals, and I went crashing into the jungle and shattered my ankle! I also shredded my toes on the other foot, since I was stupidly wearing flip flops. I went into shock, there was no hospital on the island, and it was a pretty traumatic experience. It took 3 days to get back to the states, and I was in surgery 3 days after that. The nurses were all amazed I had made it that long without morphine. Well, I didn't really have choice!
We went on a "replacement" honeymoon, with my sister and her BF, to Maui a few months later. It was amazing.
11/09- off BCP 08/10- TTC w/ charting

After 2 years, numerous tests, abdonimal surgery, and 2 IVF cycles, we are so grateful to be expecting.
Transferred 2 "perfect" 8-cell embies 6/12. Beta 1 6/25: 472! Beta 2 6/27: 1055!
First u/s shows TRIPLETS! WHAT?!?! Both embies stuck and one split. OMG
Levi, Henry, and Amelia were born healthy at 34w3d.
Second Beta results today, and shocker, negative again. still.
Thanks for the hugs, I need them.
Questions of the Day:
If you went on a honeymoon, where did you go? (any highlights of the trip?)We did not go on a honeymoon. He had just started his new job a few months before the wedding and barley had enough PO time earned to take the weekend off for the wedding! We were going to save to go to Cabo (never been) or on a cruise (He's never been) or Cozumel (Love it there!) But then the IF fairy stopped in and we decided it was more important to do this.. Maybe we'll take a mini-moon now when we take a break from all this!
Update: Went back for another u/s this morning and I'm not up to 9 measurable follies, but they are still very small.
QOTD: We didn't really do a honeymoon. We stopped at Monterey, CA on our way back home and spent a couple days there. No highlights.
Update: Stopped BCPs on 02/26... waiting on AF to start stims and she's decided not to show her ugly face yet so I probably won't start stims until that happens (that's what the nurse said this morning)
QOTD: DH and I went to Key West, FL...it was beautiful, I can remember seeing one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen in my life. What a beautiful place...I would move there in a heart beat if I could.
Update: Had another monitoring appt yesterday and there is absolutely nothing going on. After 2 days of stims my E2 was 58 so they increased my meds for yesterday and today. I go back again tomorrow. I could of told my RE that nothing was happening because I'm always a slow responder in the beginning. I don't expect to see anyting until next week.
QOTW: We had a destination wedding in Cozumel (we love to scuba!). We stayed for an additional 5 days after all our guests left. It was amazing! We went back for our 1 year anniversary and vowed we go every year. The IF bills came in and we decided to skip a few years. Can't wait to go back!
After more than 2 years of fertility treatments, FET did the trick!
IVF March 2012 - BFP! - Severe OHSS = 8 days in the hospital in kidney failure
No heartbeat at 10w6d
FET August 27,2012 = BFP!
It's a boy!
My Blog - 3 Dogs, No Baby
Update: went in to RE on Tuesday for bw to see if I had O'd and I didn't. So back in tomorrow for more bw. Once it can be confirmed I have O'd then I can start EPP.
QOTD: If you went on a honeymoon, where did you go? (any highlights of the trip?) Not really a Honeymoon in my book but we went to Devon, England (SW corner). Really nice, we stayed with friends (hence, the not really a Honeymoon) but we had a great time in the Village and pub hopping to the 22 pubs in the Village.
Multiple ectopics, 2 failed IVF's
IVF #1: Did not get to ET, embies all failed PGD (major chromosomal defects)
IVF #2: We have 2 chromosomally perfect embies as a result of PGD (Boy/Girl) 1 failed the thaw (Girl) Transferred 1, yet ended as a c/p
Thought it was the end of our TTC Journey 6/20/2012
SHOCK BFP 9/28/2012: IT'S A BOY! and everything is normal !!!!!!
Little A born 38w 2d on 05/23/13 and is a true miracle for this IF Vet!
lawjjg -- Sending you huge (((hugs))). You're in my thoughts and prayers. IVF BFNs are so hard.
Joules -- Sonoma County is my home! Glad you liked it
Therebedragons -- Good luck! Thinking of you and hoping for a great number!
Update: Tomorrow I go in for baseline and if all is well I'll start stims tomorrow night. I got AF today, too, so it seems like perfect timing!
QOTD: We went for a mini-honeymoon (two nights) on the California coast, and then a delayed honeymoon (one and a half years later) in Paris and the south of France. We went swimming in the Mediterranean in December... and ate so much amazing food... it was wonderful!
Severe MFI. Me: supposedly all clear but eggs showed vacuoles.
IVF #1 January 2012, ER Jan 14th: 34R, 27M, 23F. Day 3: 18 embies still strong. Day 5: zero "good," one "fair," the rest "poor." Transferred 3. None made it to blast or to freeze. Jan 28: BFN.
Lucky IVF #2: Transferred two beautiful day three embies on St. Patrick's Day. BFP on HPT 7dp3dt. Beta 1 (14dpER)=106; Beta 2 (16dpER)=140; Beta 3 (19dpER)=264! First u/s 4.17.

Lucky! I'm still waiting on mine...I'm almost nervous that I won't get it ...maybe tomorrow I guess.
lawjjg -- Sending you huge (((hugs))). You're in my thoughts and prayers. IVF BFNs are so hard.
Therebedragons -- Good luck! Thinking of you and hoping for a great number!
Update: Started Lupron last night. Baseline 3/9
QOTD: We went to St. Martin. For the first couple of days we just hung out on the beach. We drove around the island, went snorkling, and lots of eatting :-)
update - I had my baseline yesterday and was given the all clear, so stims start Saturday morning.
QOTW - we never went on a honeymoon We were in the process of buying a house, and then fixing the house, and then IF. We just keep forgetting to make time.
TTC since 2010
lots of IUIs and 1 IVF all BFNs
FET currently on hold
Maby -- Some women don't get AF at all because they don't build up lining on BCPs. That's what my RE told me. My lining was really thick at the appointment before I started Lupron, so they said I'd get AF... but that might not be the case for you! And I know some women have only very light spotting or flow.
Hope you get to start stims on time!

Im so sorry, lawjjg.....
and good luck to ThereBeDragons!
and a big hug to everyone who needs one!
update: not much.... today will be day 3 of lupron.... you were right FarmerLynda, just go in fast and it doesn't hurt! I was actually pleasantly surprised by the lack of pain! Not too much side effects yet that I have seen but I am also getting over a cold so I don't think I would notice yet.
QOTD: We went on a Caribbean cruise and loved it! It went to Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Martin, St. Thomas and Antigua.... We liked St. Martin the best..... it was soooo pretty! I also really liked the whole "cruising" experience and would love to go again!
I hope everyone has a good day!

Thanks for all the good wishes ladies, but the result didn't change from testing earlier in the cycle- BFN. We are going to get out of town for a couple of days- apparently you can take snow coach tours of Yellowstone and that's one of the things off my bucket list that DH offered if this cycle went belly up.
QOTD: we went to NYC for our honeymoon. Always seems to be a somewhat unusual destination but we are more snow bunnies than beach lovers. We saw a bunch of musicals that, as former choir geeks, we had always wanted to see done on Broadway. DH snuck me to the backstage exit and I got my programs signed and got to meet a couple of cast members for my favorite musical.

Update: I guess you can move me to canceled. I was canceled before we even got started. My recipient still hasn't started her period and the coordinator thinks it will take until May now to get our cycles synced back up. I can't take any time off of work in May so I guess we won't be cycling until June? It's all kind of up in the air right now.
I am pretty bummed, angry, and upset. Not sure how much I will be on here between my new job and bad news. Good luck ladies!!
Questions of the Day:
DH and I went to Costa Rica. It is absolutely beautiful there. I highly recommend it. My favorite place there is the Arenal area. The volcano is so pretty and there is so much to do.
Hi ladies,
I had my egg retrieval 3/1 and I we got 49 eggs! I knew we would get a lot of eggs because I have PCOS and my antral follicle count was about 20 on my right ovary, but my left was way less (I don't remember how many), but geez 49 is a shock! My RE said most likely they won't all be mature, but waiting for my fertility report to see how many fertilized. We are doing 15 normal IVF and the rest ICSI. I'm just praying for a good result because I heard PCOS women usually have a high number of poor quality eggs.
Good Luck to everyone.
Had my baseline on Tuesday and was given the green light to start Estrogen Wednesday....on schedule for FET on 3/16.
We went to Maui for our honeymoon. Whale watching trip was the worst experience after getting sea sick. but otherwise was a wonderful time! Ready to go back!
lawjjg and therebedragons, I am so sorry!
Update: Had my baseline yesterday and started estrogen today. Next check is on 3/16. The donor should start stimming next week!
QOTD: We went to P*nta Cana, DR. We stayed at an adults only all-inclusive called the Gran Bahia Principe Ambar. It was AWESOME! Our travel agent helped us get a corner room not far from the pool/ocean. We mostly spent the time laying in the pool or on the beach. One day, though, DH went golfing on a beautiful course while I went to the spa and got a massage. There was a little "town square" type thing on the complex with shops, a bar, a mini casino, and a stage. One night we went there only to discover a very strange performance of The Lion King. The performers were all in costume, but they were all lip synching to what sounded like the movie. My favorite thing had to be the buffets, especially the nacho bar at the snack bar!
Hi Ladies,
I'm new to Lucky Clovers. Thanks for inviting me in.
Update: I've been on Lupron for over two weeks, started 150 IU of Gonal F nightly since Friday (boy that stuff wipes me out) and had my baseline on 3/1. Going in tomorrow for my second ultrasound with blood work. We've got male factor infertility...low count, poor motility and morphology, therefore will be getting IVF with ICSI. Praying that we can do this with our own ingredients, ya know?
Honeymoon: We went to Rome and Sorrento in Italy. Absolutely beautiful and so much fun!
