Can someone blog about MC's recipe?

I need to pin it so I don't have to search through pages of posts. Can't wait to try it tonight.

  • If you'll take a picture of the pork tonight I will. I forgot to take a picture of ours last night but I planned on blogging it for the same reason. Smile

As long as you don't mind crappy pictures. I'll break out the actual camera for you. Now a days all I use is my iPhone. Smile

  • Doesn't bother me at all. You can try an iPhone pic, too. They come out surprisingly good sometimes.

That's the one problem with getting good recipes from here!  If it's not pinned I'll usually forget about it immediately.  I'm such an addict.

I have the post up because I'm trying it tonight, too.  Here it is so you don't have to search: https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/63427850.aspx

    and her actual recipe:

    • 1 (2 pound) pork tenderloin
    • 1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
    • 1 cup water
    • 3/4 cup red wine
    • 3 tablespoons minced garlic
    • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
    • freshly ground black pepper to taste

Put everything in the crockpot, try to keep the garlic on top of the pork. I add more than the 3T of soy sauce.

Low for 4 hrs (I've gone way longer and it was fine). Serve over polenta (premade + cream cheese + chicken stock) or mashed potatoes.

By the time the pork comes out, it's very tender. You can slice it, but most likely it will come out in big chunks. The cooking liquid can be poured over the meat/starch.

I use more garlic than called for and a strong-tasting wine, like a cab.

ETA: I have it pinned in my Tried & True board.

All I had this morning was a red marsala cooking wine so I hope it works. If nothing else it smells good.
  • I just blogged it using a picture from the website (I'll update with one of my own pictures whenever I make it again).
