It's low to the ground easily fits two people. Doesn't take up the whole room.
Live been thinking of buying a futon for awhile for ds room. It would be for me to sleep in on the nights he's sick. But I've been thinking why not use it as a toddler bed. Buy a good sturdy one with a nice mattress so it will last.
They are low to the ground so I wouldn't have to worry about bed rails.
What say you T 12-24?
Re: What do you think of a futon as a toddler bed?
I posted the other night about having a Futon in DD?s room but not as the bed, I was concerned about it being a hazard. Another mom replied that she uses one as her child?s bed. Now the Futons we were talking about are expensive and as nice as a bed (wood frame, nice mattress, etc?) here is a link to the post.
When DD grew out of her crib converted toddler bed we moved her to a futon. Its on a nice wooden frame and has a thick mattress. Its actually very comfortable! We also put a memory foam pad on it.
This way we didn't have to buy a new bed. Plus full size sheets and comforters fit on it. It looks cute and its super comfy.
ETA: It is pretty low to the ground, we never needed rails.
