Hello, I am 38 weeks and 6 days with my first baby. I have been able to keep the sex a secret, but am still undecided on a boy name. There are a couple of contenders but I'm most curious to see what your thoughts are on the name Trafford?
I am a BIG FAN of different names and I must say I do not like this one bit. It sounds made-up and on top of that just has a bad sound to it. Like Giraffe or something.
I never comment on names but as soon as I saw your post I knew I had to. I grew up with a Trafford and he was the nicest boy ever! So I really like the name!

Ehhh, if it's a family surname-name then I'm ok with it. You can always come up w/ a nn. I can't see calling a kid Trafford all day long. But otherwise, I'd move on.

I'm sorry but I don't like this at all! Doesn't even sound like a name.
agree

Are you from Manchester, England? Like an above poster mentioned, it's the name of the soccer pitch where Man United plays (Old Trafford) and it's a massive shopping mall and tourist destination outside of Manchester's city center, called Trafford Centre. Don't use it as a name. Terrible.

. If it has meaning to you, it would be a decent mn. I don't like it at all for a fn.
With this 100%. It sounds made up... even as a LN. Like others have said - use it as a MN if it has meaning or you really love it. Sorry, it's pretty bad.
Re: Trafford - yay or nay?

I agree if it has meaning then it works a mn.
beyond that I just think of Old Trafford (home of the Manchester United football team) but not sure if that's so well known in the US?
