XP from 1st Tri: We have a heartbeat!
My midwife used the doppler and found it right away. Which was nice because I was feeling a little (okay a lot) anxious about it. We discussed screening and we were going to do the 2nd Tri screening, but she saw that my sister is pregnant with a baby that has a spinal cord defect (Dandy Walker syndrome) and said she wanted to do the NT scan, so we go for that in 2 weeks.So much relief.I'm really happy I went with my gut and switched from my last OB-GYN to this midwife. She delivered my husband (she said "don't make me feel old!") and she's delivered 2 of my nieces/nephews. She was hilarious, honest and completely cool.
