My midwife used the doppler and found it right away. We discussed screening and we were going to do the 2nd Tri screening, but she saw that my sister is pregnant with a baby that has a spinal cord defect (Dandy Walker syndrome) and said she wanted to do the NT scan, so we go for that in 2 weeks.

So much relief.

Congrats! How exciting. Did you have an ultrasound too or just the doppler?

She just did the doppler for now. I didn't have any early ultrasounds with my first, but I'll get the NT done this time around. My midwife is not nearly as "granola" as my first doctor was (he was a family practitioner though, not an OB). I already love her.

That's fantastic!  I can't wait to hear mine...patience is not my best virtue.

Friday I'll be 6 weeks and I'm already counting down the days to the OB appoint (not until almost 9 weeks! ) ... its almost as excruciating as the TWW but not *quite* as bad because at least I know there's a seed in there!
