*2brides*

DW and I have our newly 4 year old nephew for the weekend and we know it is supposed to rain like crazy.  Any suggestions for what we can get into with the little booger?  I know you are in the area and have mucho experience with small boys so any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone else on here has any suggestions I am open to them.

We had three BFN in the Fall of 2011. It is back on to some baby making come June. Swim little fellas, SWIM!!!!

  • If you haven't been, Port Discovery, the Children's Museum in Baltimore is great. It gets SUPER crowded, but if you get there early it will be better.

There is also the aquarium in Baltimore, but we haven't been there.

We really like the Maryland Science Museum in Baltimore and there is a great Kids Room, plus a big dinosaur exhibit, among other things. It doesn't get as crowded as Port Discovery.

We went to a bounce place in Millersville last weekend (Ultimate Jump Zone) that was okay. It was the smallest bounce place I have been to (4-5 bounce things) and given that my kids think they are bounce place experts, they weren't impressed, but other kids seemed to be having fun! :)

We took them bowling for the first time at 4y and they loved it.

    Hope this helps!

  • Thanks!

We were going to do bowling but his mother won't let us...she wants to take him the first time.  We have been getting this line for 4 years. Ugggg...I am not a fan of my SIL.  She has good intentions but ultimately sticks him in front of the TV.  This little dude is sooooo shy around other kids.

Checked out the bounce place online and that looks up his alley...he is one hyper little dude. We are also talking the Science Center we will have to check out his mood when we get him and see how well he sleeps.

BTW we must practically be neighbors because I live like 10-15 minutes from the bouncy place.

  • Yep, I think we live pretty close. We are about 20m from Millersville. Check the schedule to check on open bounce times. Most places don't have open bounce on the weekend since they are booked with parties, but this places seems to open for open jump if they don't have anything scheduled. Be forewarned though - it is in an office park - so don't be surprised when you get there and it looks deserted. :)

We just took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese in Annapolis a few weeks ago. We got there early and it wasn't crowded or too loud (they open at 9am) and it was really clean (I was shocked.) I wouldn't suggest eating there, the pizza was awful - but there is a Cheeburger Cheeburger, Buffalo wild Wings, and Panera all in that same shopping center.

If he likes trains, the B&O train museum is supposed to be great. We never went since we didn't go through a big train phase like most kids.

    Guess that is all!

  • The Baltimore Aquarium is spectacular and great for kids. The Science Center is also a good place for toddlers...lots of neat things to touch and look at.
