Good for you for all that walking!  I'm not sure I could do very much these days, and I'm itching a little to get back to running.  But am glad for the reason for the break in the meantime    I've been pretty happy registering off Amazon, though my husband always wants to go in and "scan" stuff...but he never makes time to do it!  Men! |

Sorry your fibroid has been uncomfortable!  Does that go away or increase later in pregnancy?     And whee for registering, I find shopping or planning for a LO is half the fun of being pregnant.   |

A boring pregnancy is definitely something awesome!  And I think buying the littler things is kind of more fun as well, though we're going to be getting our cribs I think (since they're from IKEA, and not where we're otherwise registered).  When is your shower? |

I'm a little worried about just registering online too, but imagine it should work out okay.  I'm not positive everyone on my list uses a computer (such as "Great Aunt Jane" who is like 92) but they'll figure something out?or just bring a card which is fine too!  What color crib did you get? |

I didn't know you got a bag of stuff with BRU!  I might have to register just to get the freebies, hmm.  Maybe a couple things, right?     I found most everything was cheaper on amazon.com, even though I have to pay sales tax (darned WA!)  Glad you get to upgrade your monitor!  I'm going with just a sound one again this time, figure it'll be too hard to see two kids with a video one for any good price |

Doing well here!  I have another appointment on Monday and should get a quick peek at the little monkeys.  I've started feeling very tired after doing simple things (grocery shopping!) and imagine it's only going to increase from here.  I do love having so many little baby wiggles and it's been good for me to actually relax a little for once in my life.    |

I had a low placenta, but it actually moved up between my two appointments.  And I had this with both my boys, so definitely don't worry too much!  Worst case, you get a planned c-section.  And yikes, I hope your flu is gone as well, that was a big week for you    Hope your daughter was spared it! |

Yeah, I'm definitely happy for all the boring updates.  I think it's hard for people to resist all the adorable little clothes.  Only two people have gotten something off my registry (yes, I totally snooped) and fortunately they were all very practical items, yay!)  When is your shower? |

Yay for a long cervix!  Hehe.  Mine was a little shorter than last time (at 23cm) so my MFM doc told me to not worry, but to not take ANY PTL signs for granted.  Sounds like our little men are measuring about the same!  Good luck on Monday! |

Ooh, a babymoon to somewhere tropical sounds divine!  I don't have kid-free time until early April, and that's a little too late for me to fly, so we're looking at a drivable one.     Have you looked at material for crib skirts?  I think those are pretty easy to make in a no sew sort of way (just iron under with hemming tape). |

That color is *gorgeous* and the crib bedding is so cute too!  Glad you got some down time after the ILs left     My husband and I definitely discuss whether or not we'd think about another baby and "try" for a girl.  While I love, love, love my little men, it would be nice to have a daughter when they all grow up and only talk to their wife's families!  But boys are definitely a lot easier, though you haven't gotten quite yet to the WILD stage that some boys get to.  My youngest never did, though.  Anyhow, I keep forgetting to send you a PM with my email address, so I will do that now! |

Hah, I'm a little, not worried exactly, but not needing clothes at ALL.  I have gotten a bunch of hand me downs (which I am fine with!) from various friends and am pretty well stocked up!  I do need a few NB things, and if I get a bunch of adorable matching outfits that is fine too, I just really don't need them.  Hope your second shower gets you a little more "stuff" so you don't have to do too much shopping on your own |

I sometimes wonder how I work outside the home too, haha.  One reason I'm really pretty certain continuing to work after the twins is a no go.  But leaving the option open, just in case!  And hey, if your husband has a passion for working in a fishing shop, sounds like he's earned his right to go to a "retirement" job like that.  Good for him!  Are you still going to make him dress up in fireman uniforms though?    |

Re: ~~~Early June Check In~~~
Made it back home from my sunny vacation! I actually have some tan lines although I'm pretty sure they'll be gone in a week. Otherwise I'm happy to be home. I'm so excited about the nursery, we ordered the crib mattress finally and got some of the bedding so it's really coming along. I haven't had much time to bump because my DH has been slave driving me to get all this stuff done around here! He's nesting worse than I am I swear! LOL Anyway, seems like June is right around the corner! Hope everyone is having a good week!
GTKY: Do you watch TV much? If so, what are your favorite shows? Anything you are obsessive about?
I watch a lot of TV, at least in the fall and winter because it's so cold and dark here in WA. In the summer I do try to get out more! Lately I'm hooked on The Bachelor, Idol, Biggest Loser, all the Kardashian shows, Army Wives and almost all of the HBO series too. I'm sure there are more that I can't think of...oh and I watch HGTV when all else fails!
No updates this week still!! OH... wait... maybe so... my constipation is finally relieved!!!! Thanks to Peri-Colace.
Hopefully I can keep it away with using some Benefiber every day.
GTKY: Do you watch TV much? If so, what are your favorite shows? Anything you are obsessive about?
Yes.
On a daily basis, I'll find shows like NCIS, psych, Monk, House, The Office, and Lifetime movies. Then my shows that are only on once a week: Pretty Little Liars, Switched at Birth, The Lying Game, and the Bachelor/ette when it's on.
We DVR everything, so I'm not too obsessive about being home at certain time to watch anything, but I do like to watch it every week.

And for the GTKY for me:
My husband likes TV more than me, but we have a few shows we watch together: The Office, 30 Rock, Southland, Alcatraz, and Hell's Kitchen and ANTM when they are on. He hoards DVR shows so it's good there is a limit on space! I could literally he fine without TV but I don't mind watching it.
Wow, how did I miss last week's check-in?!?! I completely lost a week. So, my u/s today freaked me out. I wasn't expecting any problems, but they discovered a single umbilical artery. They checked very carefully and didn't see any other problems, but will continue to see if there are any correlating heart or kidney problems. SUA can cause IUGR, but they're already monitoring me every 4 weeks for that anyways because of Lupus. I just need to step away from google because it's freaking me out even more and my doctor already thoroughly explained everything to me. T&P's though please that everything will continue to be okay with Quinn.
GTKY: I don't really watch a lot of TV, but dh and I have been watching Once Upon a Time together and with much embarrassment I will admit to being on the Teen Mom bandwagon. I really am embarrassed about that one.
Definitely sending T&P's that everything is well with Quinn. Sorry you got some unexpected nerve racking news today! I also wanted to say that I too watch Teen Mom...I've been watching since they were all on 16 and pregnant and yes, I've watched both series religiously! There is something totally addicting about that crazy show!
Hi thanks for setting us up with buddies. I'm 24 weeks and it just dawned on me that there are only three months left. Biweekly ultra sounds have begun with more tests happening at around 28. Just making sure.
GTKY: yes I like my TV. Its really a relaxing moment after lo is in bed. We love Grey's, Celebrety Apprentice, The Big Bang , The Office we LOVE our DVR!
GTKY: Do you watch TV much? If so, what are your favorite shows? Anything you are obsessive about?
Yes! I watch TV a ton... I love The Bachelor, Teen Mom, 19 Kids & Counting, Revenge, Grey's Anatomy.
& there are others I watch on re-run...like Criminal Minds & CSI.
Elonah [3], Bentley [1]
I love movement for reassurance! (Although this backfires on me when she is not moving - I freak!!!) My husband calls me "The worrier". We got a cherry crib.
GTKY: Odd duck here - I don't really watch tv. I have been trying to convince dh to cancel cable forever - we are basically paying $130.00 a month for sports! I do watch some old tv series on Netflix though - right now I am watching Mad Men and The West Wing.

This week, we bought a crib, our very first nursery purchase. Very exciting and it should be here within the next week. Can't believe we are going to have an actual crib in the house! I'm still on the never-ending crib bedding search (especially a skirt.) I must be extremely picky because I did look for fabric to make my own and couldn't find anything I like. Because we got such a good deal on the crib, repainting and repurposing furniture, and possibly getting a glider from cragislist, I think I may have to splurge on it. Babybedding.com has some pretty good options and you can even custom design your own. Probably the way I'll go. Next steps? Registry. Not. Looking. Forward. To. That.
I also finally started feeling our little girl move. It's usually about 30 minutes after I have dinner, and then again around 4:30 (hope that's not a sign of things to come!) Unfortunately, she's quick and DH has only been able to feel her once. It's actually quite astonishing how fast he can move from across the room when he thinks he has the chance of feeling a kick!
QOTW- I work from home and I constantly have the TV on for noise. So, do I watch a lot? Probably more than someone who works outside the home but even though it's on most of the day, I don't watch all day. Not really obsessed with any thing right now, but have been enjoying mindless primetime sitcoms. Not brain activity required (which is prefect for me right now.) :-)
I got a card in the mail from BRU for a $10 gift card and a bag of free stuff if I registered, so I went for it. I don't know if they give you the stuff without the card. i did register on Amazon so I can get the discount at the end, but I don't plan to really advertise that registry. I felt tacky registering since we have most of the big stuff, but I couldn't pass up the 10% savings at those places.
I have my GD test tomorrow morning. My OB has you drink the stuff in office, so I'll be sitting there for at least an hour first thing tomorrow morning. Fun times...
GTKY: Do you watch TV much? If so, what are your favorite shows? Anything you are obsessive about? I watch a lot of TV when winding down in the evenings, but I'm usually multi-tasking by watching TV and reading for work, balancing the check book, etc. I love How I Met Your Mother and Grey's Anatomy. I still watch Desperate Housewives, Private Practice, and Castle, as well. I'm a little obsessed with watching Teen Mom- more Teen Mom 2 than Teen Mom 1 though. Speaking of which, Leah (the one with the twins) on Teen Mom 2 lives in my area and a friend posted on FB the other day that Leah was eating near her at a restaurant and that the people with the show were basically coaching her on what to say and how to make it more dramatic. Janelle (the one in NC who is constantly getting arrested) keeps going to the courthouse that my dad oversees and making his staff's life more interesting.
Look a you getting this check-in up so early!
The fibroid has its days. Some days I can't even feel it and other days it's just plain uncomfy. I think some of it may have to do with where the baby is positioned. It's a hard tumor (not cancerous) that's growth is fueled by estrogen, so the more estrogen I have, the more it grows. It feeds off of it. The Dr. said that it will shrink after the baby and depending on it's size, placement, etc - It could be removed. The only downfall is that if it causes pain, the pain can cause inflamation which then can lead to pre-term labor, so they are keeping an eye on it and watching for changes. Also, depending on where it is when it's time to deliver can pay a role in whether I can deliver vaginally or will have to have an emergency c-section. FX that none of these things happen and it just stays at the uncomfortable stage.
As for updates, baby boy is starting to move a lot more. I love it! We have an appt. with our OB on 03/06 and the MFM on 03/15. Hope we get a sneek peak of baby when the MFM takes a look at the fibroid.
GTKY: Do you watch TV much? If so, what are your favorite shows? Anything you are obsessive about?
I think DH and I watch too much TV. Haha! I watch Bachelor/ette, Modern Family, some MTV shows, Grey's Anatomy, Guiliana and Bill, American Horror Story...
Nothing that I have to watch or I'll go crazy.
I had my appt and my dr wasn't going to harp on my weight until my dumba$$ DH says "must've been all those cookies" then she went into a lecture on carbs and sugar. lol I almost killed him!!! And my ticker has moved again because she said that after looking at my stuff, she is going with the EDD of my first u/s (June 14) because it was more accurate and just say I am measuring 2 weeks ahead. haha whatever!
GTKY: I am addicted to TV. I travel every second week for work and am in hotels so I have a show for every night pretty much. Favorites are Criminal Minds, Up all night, and the bachelor!
Things are still going good. My in-laws are coming this weekend for my DHs 30th birthday and they are getting us the crib! We do not even have the room cleaned out, still so much to do!
GTKY- I watch quite a bit of TV, but mostly just DVR them and watch on weekend mornings or whenever I get a chance, not too much on weekdays. I don't even know what days shows are on, I have to ask DH, what shows do I have on tonight? The ones we watch together are Bones (LOVE-can't wait for the Bones-Booth baby), NCIS, and Big Bang Theory, and sometimes House. I'm kind of bored with NCIS and House though. Ones I DVR and may or may not watch are Bachelor, Teen Mom, 19 kids, Top Chef, basically all reality shows!
So I ended up getting a few gift cards from out of town family and friends and it helped buy some baby gear. I'm super grateful. My friend throwing the baby shower here for my church friends said she kind of plans on gathering money and getting a giftcard or just getting a whole lot of little things like pacis, wipes, burp cloths, etc. I'm happy she understands! Pregnancy wise I'm doing ok. I'm getting really big and I'm honestly kind of ready to be done. I want babies in my arms now! I just have to keep breathing and keep them baking.
GTKY: Do you watch TV much? If so, what are your favorite shows? Anything you are obsessive about?
I watch quite a bit of TV. I love Grimm, Chopped, Dance Moms, The Big Bang Theory, How I met your mother, Modern Family, Suburgatory, Pan Am... I am not obsessive but I admit I do like my tv!

hi everyone! This week has been a crazy one! I'm noticing a LOT of weight gain (almost 2# a week) and I'm freaking out! I didn't gain anything until week 15, and now I'm up 17#!! What is that?!?!?!?! I'm going to talk to the LNP at my next appt and find out what is going on. My next step is a dietician here on base for a meal plan. Maybe it's my being so inactive or maybe I'm taking in more calories than I think. DH swears it's the fruit I eat all day, but honestly I don't know if that's truly it. I'm sure I need to push myself to be more active and really start watching the junk food the boys in this house so love to eat.
On a good note, we got our nursery furniture put together and the wall decorations ordered. Hopefully I can get it all done and some pics up soon.
GTKY: Do you watch TV much? If so, what are your favorite shows? Anything you are obsessive about?
We watch tv it seems a lot. But, we DVR most of it and watch when the weather is bad or we've got nothing else going on. I'm addicted to Days of Our Lives. DH and I watch Big Bang Theory, Once Upon a Time, Last Man Standing and NCIS together. Of course, I'm a big Army Wives fan too - he watches and gets into it too, but he can't admit it! haha
Hope you all have a great week!
Oh, and, he's not allowed to bring home his gear bc of chemicals that are in the gear itself... Though the idea of making him strut his stuff in a fireman costume HAS crossed my mind! hahahaha Something about firemen... sexy! (Luckily for me, he's also active duty military, so I get to see him in his AF uniform A LOT!)
Love me a man in uniform! hehe

BFP 10/7/2011; EDD 7/15/12 - STICK BABY STICK!!!!
Yes, last week wasn't so fun, but this week has been much better. We're all healthy and the weather has been great. Just got to Vegas yesterday for a couple days...last work trip until after the baby. Yay!!
As for the question, DH and both watch Modern Family and Cougartown (so glad it's back). I am also obsessed with Parenthood. I missed it this week and can't wait to watch it on DVR.
Yay! I found the June check-in! I'm mostly doing good. Just having some cramps in my calves and a bit of side pain. Next appointment is next week.
GTKY: Do you watch TV much? If so, what are your favorite shows? Anything you are obsessive about? I really don't watch much tv right now. Cooking shows or re-runs of the cosby show from time to time, lol!
Not much of an update, between my laptop being friend and being exhausted, I've been a bit MIA from the board. These babies are moving a lot more which is nice and they both looked awesome at the MFM which was such a relief...I get a little nervous every time I head in for some reason.
GTKY: I probably watch too much TV in the evenings. We try not to have it on much during the day because we try not to let DS watch more than an hour of PBS each day though with my exhaustion he's been watching a movie just about each afternoon (oh well, he will live). I LOVE Dexter and True Blood but we got rid of cable so have to wait for those to come out on netflix. There are a few shows I watch every week but I can't miss Parenthood (even though it's past my bed time these days
).

I hope everyone is doing well. I haven't been around much lately. We had a great fetal echo last Friday. Baby boy's heart is looking perfectly healthy. This was the biggest milestone yet for us! We won't have to have another echo this pregnancy. We are getting so excited for this little guy to be here.
GTKY: We do watch TV every night after dinner, but there are really only a few shows that we make sure we don't miss. Our favorites are Alcatraz, Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory. We used to be obsessed with The Office, but it just isn't the same now.
