Teething or sick?

DD has had a low grade fever since last night. She is also fussier than usual. She'll be ok one minute and then start screaming.

I am trying to look for swelling gums, but I really have no idea what I'm looking for. She is still drooling like crazy and chewing on her hands as usual.

How do I know if it is teething or she's sick? Is the whole low grade fever during teething thing an old wives tale?

I'm really not sure what could be going on. When M was teething it was obvious. I thought he had been teething prior to his actual teething, but when it finally started there was no mistaking. I hope your LO rebounds and starts feeling better quickly.
