Question to all the new mommies out there: what does your day look like? Do you spend the entire day focused on your new LO or do you find yourself fitting in other things, too? I feel a little guilty for wanting to do non-baby things...
Of course I like to be all over my baby but at the same time I make me time everyday to get ready, do my hair, make up, whatever it is I enjoy because I know after that my lo will need my attention more than anything else. But also I like to get out of the house, even if its just to go walking around target, we go.

Hmm, that's a good question. We get up at 8am and DD wants to be awake and eat and be rocked until about 9 or 10. When she is awake, that's our time together Then she has three good naps from 9-11, 11-1, 1-4 (definitely varies, but that's the general outline with nursing for about 30min at the beginning, so really it's 1.5-2.5 hours for naps). Then she's up again from 4-8 and that's shared with me and my DH between rocking, feeding, tummy time, or just sitting on the couch looking at the TV mesmerized by the lights.
If we plan any outtings, we plan them during the napping hours. Napping hours I get to get ready, eat food, and spend some time on the computer!
LO has a pretty good schedule going, at 930ish, 230ish and 730pm ish, he plays soI try to do a tummy time or play mat time with him, most of the other times he is sleeping unless he is eating (evey 2 hours), so I take my shower and do my hair as well as chores, etc. I go somewhere at least once a day, even if its just for a walk or to the park because I will go nuts in the house. LO likes the fresh air anyway. That's about it, nothing too crazy, but I definitely clean or even do small crafts etc while he is sleeping. Of course sometimes he is too precious an I have to have him sleep on my chest or hold him while he sleeps
well, when i'm not being a milk machine, i'm trying to eat or nap. sometimes we have visitors. pretty exciting, really. i'm just glad that my days aren't spent trying to feed DD, get her to sleep, recover from a Csection and poop. the poop problem - solved! onto living again!
all i've done is go to DD's first Dr appt and a WIC appt today. i've been home from the H for a week.
Sleep between feedings until both DH and I feel fully rested, then figure out from there what we need to do that day. LO still sleeps nearly all the time he isn't feeding or being changed; we cherish the few quiet-awake times he has and spend 'em focused on him, for sure!
This'll change once DS is sleeping less and when DH goes back to work, but it's lovely for now!

Sometimes I notice that she is in her swing for too long, or just hanging out by herself. I do feel really guilty. But I have a 3 year old, too. & even then -she is sometimes in her playroom just happily playing by herself, and the baby is still in her swing. I sometimes feel like a single parent in regards to the newborn, b/c I am BFing, and DH is tending to the 3 year old. So when she is in her swing, I think - that is my "me" time. It's when I can get on the computer or take a shower or something, too.

This sounds pretty much like my day! He does tend to be awake for what seems like 2-3 hours a day, from 8-9am, 5-6ish and then 8-9pm. During those times we read, sing, tummy time, take walks, play with toys, etc. I try to balance his naps times by holding him some, then letting him sleep in his PNP, it makes me feel less like I'm leaving him alone.
