Do you use something waterproof, e.g. a lap pad? Or just lay down a large pf? I don't want to have to wash the changing pad cover constantly, just wondering what other people use underneath the kiddo. Thanks!

In the very beginning we used a bunch of the blue waterproof pads we took from the hospital over the cover. They are like puppy traing pads (which also work great for a disposable option btw). Now I just use big prefolds that she hasn't grown into yet since changes are less explosive.
Us too!
We use a prefold (whatever size she's not wearing.)
ETA: We are using the NB size right now for this purpose and they're big enough.
ha- i used these, too!! I have a boppy brand cover (pp posted a pic) that I use and I usually through a PF down. LO doesn't usually pee outside of his diaper. He has a low tolerance for wet dipes so I change him almost as soon as he wets.
