Diaper help wanted please

I will be making a diaper cake for my friend's upcoming shower and I am looking for plain white diapers. I seem to be failling at this task. Everything I come across has prints on it. Can anyone recommend a brand that sells plain white diapers and that wont charge me $40? I'm looking for a size 2 and I'll need at least 90. TIA

  • Depending on the cake, can't you just fold them so the white part is all that is showing?  Like Pampers Swaddlers - they only print on them is the band on the front.

  • The only plain white diapers are cloth ones. Disposables (the major brands at least) all have prints on them.

This was my thought as well.

This is what my SIL did for my diaper cake.

Well this stinks! The way I fold them I don't know if I could avoid showing the band the entire way around the cake. I am by no means a pro at this lol so I only know one way of doing it. Oh well I guess I'll just have to make due.

  • My diaper cake was of Pampers Sensitive diapers. My friend wrapped each layer in a receiving blanket so you can't see the actual diapers.

Tip: don't use Pampers with DryMax. A lot of people (including me) hate these diapers because of the chemical smell.

  • I agree with everyone else. I make diaper cakes and diaper babies... you just fold them in so that the print isn't showing.  And if you happen to get any that are showing, when you put them on the cake just turn them so only the white is showing on the outside of the cake (nobody is going to see whats in the middle of the cake.)  Maybe look it up on youtube - i'm sure that would be helpful!
  • I just wrap a thick ribbon around each layer and it hides the printed part OK.
